The Euphoria Finale Has Divided the Internet - Weekly Watch Report [31:43-35:47]
feeling like an Alamo show. Yeah, like, real was kind of like a side character Alamo show. Like, no, I know it was a lot. But there were some things that I did, like, like I liked Bishop going against Alamo in the end. I thought it was a cool, yeah, like good for him. I was like, all right, like, although I just felt like it was just so random, like, there's the whole way the show wrapped up was like, I mean, the whole way, the whole last final scene you're like, wow, this is the way that they're going to end the show. It felt like a pretty strong statement. Yeah, you know, it was just like him going to that family and sitting down and it's just like, oh, I love, I love like people reporting to Sam Lemons and said on that podcast, like yesterday, like, it's officially over, like, there aren't no more seasons where it's like, yeah, obviously, like everyone's dead. How would you continue the show? It would just be a different show. Mm-hmm. It absolutely needs to be that that's, you can end it at this. Please, like, don't do any spin-offs. No, no, no, no. Please, don't do any spin-offs. I'm begging you. No, I turned that off and was like, all right, it's done. Yeah. Yeah. We're done. Yeah, no, I say, it really did seem like Sam Lemons and was trying to do a lot and it didn't, it just didn't all click. Like some of it was good, some of it was not, but like the storylines all just were so jumbled. And it was like, if you were to watch the first season compared to this, you'd be like, I'm sorry, like this is, what happened where he'd completely changed this show? You know who's a good actor, Marshawn Lynch? He's actually a pretty good actor. He was great and he had like a way more of an important role than I thought he was going to have. And you know, I also thought was great was Kitty, Grace Van Patent's sister. I thought she was, I thought she did a great job. Oh my god, that's Grace Van Patent's sister. Yeah. Yeah. I think it was like the first time I saw her, I was like squinting, like, is that Grace Van Patent? Like for the whole episode, I'm like, is it? No, that's not her. But I was like, she looks like that's her sister. Makes sense. Yeah. Cindy Sweeney posted a whole bunch of pictures on the show. It's funny. It's called dot, dot, dot acting. It's funny to see her posting like so much and Cindy hasn't posted one single thing like this entire season. No, no, no. It was nice to see, I feel like she's done with it but it was nice to see in that little behind the scenes thing like a clip of her wrapping up her character and thanking everybody and really acknowledging like all the people that have worked on the show for so long. Like that was nice, but you very much understand why she's, that's, it's done now. Yeah. But yeah, I mean, it was, it was, it was very, it was an intensive alley. I don't even know where I've fallen this to be honest to grade it. Because it's just like a statement on the whole season as a whole. Because it was like the finale was interesting and went on for a long time. But it's like you have to figure it out. It's just long, like it felt like a feature-length film. I was watching it's own like individual film that had nothing to do with anything else. If you're grading it on like pound for pound this episode standalone, like where are you entertained? A lot of it, like yeah. But I'm more looking at it as it like this is wrapping up an entire show and like it makes no sense. I agree with you, like it would be higher than but in the grand scheme of things and the story. Like are you satisfied? Like a seam minus. I was gonna go there, I'm just gonna give it a D based on like everything of it. I think that's more of like a whole season type of like. This was some way to season. Really as a standalone episode, like I don't know, there probably falls more like a C plus. But yeah. Yeah, just the way it all, it's all ending, C minus. And hacks I graded.
