The Euphoria Finale Has Divided the Internet - Weekly Watch Report [28:12-31:41]

did make sense. And I thought like Alamo taking her out in that way was, you know, Sam Levin's been making a pretty powerful statement about addiction, drug use, the use of fentanyl and just the obscene amount of fentanyl that makes its way into this country. And it just felt like that was a very powerful statement. I like that it wasn't just happy ending, but it just felt very rushed and it was like, how else could they have ended this show in a wrapped up way? Then like, yes, she had to die. Yeah, it did, it did feel that way. Same with Laurie, like even with Laurie, it was like, yeah, it's time for her to go to, you know. They were counting off everyone. But there's just some, they were, but then there was just like some parts where some of these characters were just not used in a meaningful way at all. Like Jules' entire story, along this entire season was so pointless. I think most of the storyline, like a lot of people were saying that where it's like, we could have just nothing, we gained nothing from the season. Like compare, like just ended where it ended. It felt like, and I saw people saying this too, it was like Sam Lovenson just wanted to make a cowboy western. Cause it is true, it felt like he had this whole other movie going on in his mind or show. And it was like, Rue and the, you know, drug situation and Alamo and Laurie and that whole like feud. It really felt like he wanted to make the entire season about that. And then he remembered that he had other characters that he based this entire show on. And he just like had to come up with side plots for all of them. Like he just like, if you had just watched the final 30 or 45 minutes of this episode, you'd be like, this is euphoria. Cause like, none of the main characters are in it. And it's like, no. I just don't know how we got to a point where it's like, this guy who was introduced this season is like, we're ending the entire show with him. And like, it's all around him. And Clementine was his character. Like, it is a good character. And I thought he was, his acting was great. But it's like, yeah, like him, like, it was just two characters where I'm like, this is how it goes. Alamo took over. Alamo took over. The Alamo show. Yeah, yeah. And he was fantastic. That's why it's like, it was like, I thought he was really good. And obviously, Clementine was amazing, but it really was like, it just jumped. Yeah, it just jumped back and forth to two completely different shows. Like, you're like, these are, these storylines are not connected at all. They tried to connect them through Rue, but it like still even didn't really work. I just, you know, you could Cassie trying to make sense with her life and she's living in this house and she's not telling anyone the Nate's dead. It's just like, oh, Nate's gone missing. And Lexi's like, you think he's coming back? Like, it's like, I don't know. It was just like a really weird plot line. Because I remember they used to, like, in the first, the premiere this year, like, you were like, you're like, it's not up to us acting really bad. Like, that's all I'm seeing now is people being like, what the fuck happened to her acting? Maybe she just didn't want to be there. I haven't watched since the first episode. So maybe she thought her plot line was dumb too, because it was just like, everything that they were doing felt like side roles to the,
