(Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 to change the applicability of the amendments made by such section, and for other purposes. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. AMENDMENTS TO EXPANSION ON THE PROHIBITION ON THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE ACQUIRING CERTAIN METAL PRODUCTS. (a) In General.--Section 844 of the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 (Public Law 116-283; 134 Stat. 3766), as amended by section 854 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024 (10 U.S.C. 4872 note), is further amended-- (1) in subsection (b)-- (A) by amending the heading to read as follows: ``Applicability''; and (B) by striking ``shall take effect on'' and all that follows and inserting the following: ``shall apply only with respect to contracts and other agreements entered into on or after the date that is the earlier of-- ``(1) January 1, 2032; or ``(2) the date that is 180 days after the date on which the Secretary of Defense certifies to the congressional defense committees that there is a sufficient number of commercially viable providers of covered material located outside o
