Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Residential AED and CPR Preparedness Act of 2026''. SEC. 2. PROMOTING ACCESS TO AEDS AND CPR IN ELIGIBLE FEDERALLY ASSISTED MULTIFAMILY HOUSING. The Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 201 et seq.) is amended by inserting after section 312D (42 U.S.C. 244d) the following: ``SEC. 312E. PROMOTING ACCESS TO AEDS AND CPR IN ELIGIBLE FEDERALLY ASSISTED MULTIFAMILY HOUSING. ``(a) In General.--The Secretary may award grants to eligible entities to develop and implement a comprehensive program to promote resident access to automated external defibrillators (in this section referred to as `AEDs') and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (in this section referred to as `CPR') in eligible federally assisted multifamily housing. ``(b) Use of Funds.--An eligible entity receiving a grant under subsection (a) may use funds received throug
