Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Housing Opportunities for Moving to Empowerment for Foster Youth Act'' or the ``HOME for Foster Youth Act''. SEC. 2. ELIGIBILITY OF ELIGIBLE YOUTHS FOR TENANT-BASED RENTAL ASSISTANCE. (a) In General.--Section 8(x)(2) of the United States Housing Act of 1937 (42 U.S.C. 1437f(x)(2)) is amended-- (1) by striking ``leave foster care within 90 days'' and inserting ``leave foster care within 180 days''; and (2) by striking ``and is homeless or is at risk of becoming homeless at age 16 or older''. (b) Education and Training Voucher Amounts.--Section 3(b)(4) of the United States Housing Act of 1937 (42 U.S.C. 1437a(b)(4)) is amending by adding at the end the following: ``(F) Education and training voucher amounts.--Such term does not include any amounts a family receives from the Education and Training Vouchers authorized under section 477(i) of the Social Security Act.''.
