Tr. Vol. II p. 212. The vehicle that struck Shirley was traveling at approximately fifty miles per hour. After the accident, an ambulance transported Shirley to the hospital. Shirley experienced back, neck, and shoulder pain; limited range of motion in his back; a bruised kidney; and blood in his urine. After a short time, however, Shirley’s back pain disappeared, and his life went “back to normal.” Id.
