Oil sees worst month since Covid – everything you need to know [0:00-3:30]

And as we've been discussing if we take a look at oil prices you can see down today moves off more than 1% both for Brent and WTI again after the US and Iranian negotiators apparently reaching an agreement to extend the ceasefire on the month if we take a look at oil prices you can see big losses that the tune of 16 to nearly 19% for both WTI and Brent crude again oil market seem to be looking past the more they seem to be optimistic that a deal would come through so we see those big double digit losses in the oil moves and if we take a look at stocks how they are reacting this morning over here in Europe we're seeing European futures moving to the upside just moderate small gains there stocks 50 futures pointing to a positive start today up some two tens of a percent this is as all prices come down but again not massive moves if we take a look at the month we can see that there are strong gains particularly for I mean the stock 600 up some 2.2% and the Zetro DAX up more than 3% you see the FTSE 100 in the green on the month but just smaller gains up just 4 tenths of a percent again a lot of this could be around the domestic political uncertainty here in the UK that has kept a bit more of a lid on equities if we look at US futures and how Wall Street gets set to open this morning we're seeing just inching into the green they're kind of little reaction but this was after what was a fresh record high yesterday again this coming after that potential deal news and the S&P 500 actually notched a six a straight day of winds those del shares also in focus so search on 38% look at the month now for US equities though you can see a much bigger gains particularly the S&P 500 index that up nearly 5% the Nasak really leading the way out performing big tech up some 8% and that's really driving a lot of the rally that we've seen now also in focus was US inflation that increased its fastest pace in three years in April strengthening views that the Federal Reserve will hold interest rates unchanged well into next year the personal consumption expenditures price index increased a seasonally adjusted 0.4% on the month putting the 12 month rate at 3.8% if we look at how yields are reacting this morning across the globe I mean looking at that 10-year treasury you can see that the yields edge lower on Thursday the 10-year trading at 4.4% even as that new inflation data showed inflation still remaining persistent but you see yields coming down on the news of that the potential agreement there UK 10-year yield and the Bund yields though you still see had moved higher yes they will have to see how they open today if we look at the month and looking at yields you can see again it seems to be a similar picture mixed yields have come down or you can see yields kind of up there on the US 10-year treasury up some 1% and you can see for yields on the UK and Germany the German burns those down coming down on the month bring moves there for the UK yield of some 4% on the month

{# E23 (Nick, ruling section 1 answer 10): quoting a bill or a court opinion works the way quoting a news article works. Select a passage above and the same panel opens: the passage goes to the official you choose, with this document's own address as its source and its own type. #}
