An extended U.S.-Iran ceasefire is the 'worst-case scenario' for energy: Rory Jo [10:01-11:53]

is it will blunt the impact of these deficits on commercial stocks, which are functionally the final residual catcher of the oil market. And they're, they're what will drive price higher. So as soon as you stop injecting strategic stocks, that means you shift that same demand for crude into commercial stocks, and you draw that down here and faster. That is essentially what these SPR releases do. And I would expect if we do not get hormones open within the next couple weeks, we will see another SPR release announced from IA numbers, because again, the only way we're going to need to draw down these stocks. That's already a given at this stage. The question is where the stocks come from. Do they come from strategic reserves, or they come from commercial reserves, which are going to force prices higher. And my bet is that governments would rather drain down strategic stocks more and worry about that political bowback than the blowback of motorists, particularly in election year. Yeah, Roy, we've got about 45 seconds left. But some are actually saying that the real pain point will come in July when we start to see these reserves put under even more pressure. Who do you think will have more pressure on the reserves to actually sustain some of these releases? Could it be the United States or China? The great question. Obviously, China doesn't have a midterm election this year, so I think that puts it heavy in the in the court of the United States having more pressure to maintain these releases. The challenge is that we know exactly how much oil is in the US reserve. We don't know that same information about China, and we don't know when it's going to turn itself off. It's not nearly as transparent. Well, we will see if China stops releasing from its SPR reserves, we're either going to see one of two things. Either domestic demand is going to collapse and mobility indicator of things, or, and more likely, they're going to surge back onto the C-borne market as buyers, and they're going to tighten the market in an instant.
