At about 6:00 p.m., they left the residence in a gray Chrysler 300. On two different occasions later that evening—shortly before and shortly after 10:00 p.m.—Richards called Belcher. All four men ended up at a house belonging to Richards’ mother, Goldie Holman. Holman did not permit Richards to bring his friends to her house, and she was not home at the time the men arrived. At around 10:30 p.m., Holman returned home.
