Pursuant to the lease, Moothery was required to pay $995 per month in rent and a security deposit of $250. After the end of the one-year term, Moothery’s lease continued on a month-to-month basis. 1 In July 2022, Moothery attempted to pay her rent, but the payment was returned for non-sufficient funds (“NSF”).
