The Testaments: The On-Set Habit That Changed Becka’s Story | Set Stories [4:36-6:43]
Personally speaking, I had so many questions for a lot of the girls and the characters, you know, we see the brainwashing and the manipulation but the girls are unaware of it. They have no idea what's happening. This is their reality. It's as simple to them as a habitual action is brushing their teeth, you know, it's something that's so simple. But having those moments where I can let my own relief and personal doubt through was very relieving and it was a way to kind of showcase my own personality too in this crazy world. Kind of on that note, I'm going back to how Hase and I would sing all of the time on set. The writers noticed that we would sing all the time and they actually ended up writing in scene where I'm singing in episode 10, which is super cool and it's such a fun way to showcase this artistic side of emotion that I'm not speaking but I'm, you know, I'm singing my feelings and my emotions in such a crazy scene. So that's kind of my own little personal anecdote that I was able to add in. This was kind of my first time working as an actual adult on set. All of my other projects that I had worked on, I worked on younger so I wasn't working as long or as different roles as this one is. So I think for me what through me kind of in a loop was how much I had to show up to work and really, really apply myself every single day and the hours they were long, they were challenging but luckily I was so fortunate to be surrounded by a team of people that were willing to show up and give their 110 every single day which was an incredible experience and everybody was really dedicated to not just delivering great TV but to deliver this amazing message and this amazing piece of art that we've like created all together and it's such a beautiful project of collaboration that we all just put out there so for me that that was such an impactful experience to be a part of.
