The couple had three daughters: Samantha, Nicole, and Erica. Erica, the youngest daughter, was living with Newman in Tippecanoe County, and Samantha and Nicole were living on their own. 1 On March 14, 2024, we held oral argument in this case at Andrean High School in Merrillville, Indiana.
