Matthew drank “a few” beers. Tr. Vol. II p. 50. Edward also drank a large amount of tequila and was very intoxicated. Edward began to argue with his parents and was screaming at them. At the same time, the Loraines’s seventyfive-year-old next-door neighbor, Richard Kroemer, went to his deck and could hear screaming coming from the Loraines’s house.
