But what's bizarre is that it, again, is treating President Trump's statements as deeply serious and worthy of consideration, something that, again, we have not seen, it seems to have been constantly. You can see, literally every time Trump makes a peace announcement, the odds, the price of a barrel of oil plummets implying that they think the straight-of-formers will reopen. This is also a fascinating disconnect between the two markets where prediction markets say that the oil shortage is going to persist for a long period of time, and the oil market itself seems to be operating as though this is unusually low. There's also been reports that global oil reserves are essentially running out, and that the oil crisis is going to become even more acute, particularly in regions that are going to end up priced out of oil, right? The world's poorest regions are going to get hit first, but regular everyday Americans are going to be feeling it at the pump at a time where they can ill afford it.
