US Airstrikes ROCK Iran! "Grave Ceasefire Violation!" [0:00-5:05]
US has reportedly resumed combat operations against Iran. Is this just a temporary strike or is this the complete collapse of negotiations? We're going to talk about it, plus what it means for the straight reopening and your gas prices. Let's crack into it. Now, before we do real quick guys, just check and make sure you're still subscribed. YouTube has been mysteriously unsubscribing people. In fact, a lot of my videos end up with net negative subscribers, something that's never happened even on my most controversial takes. Okay, so, according to the sent-com spokesperson, quote, US forces conducted self-defense strikes in southern Iran to protect our troops from threats posed by Iranian forces. Target's included missile launch sites and Iranian boats attempting to replace mines. Now, that's mines, the allegation that Iran was engaging in attacks and that these strikes were defensive in nature is just sort of patently and on the surface false. We know this because, well, the ceasefire is still in effect and targeting missile launch sites could pose a threat to the US blockade, but certainly laying mines definitely does not. It's also worth noting, of course, that according to the president, Iran doesn't have a navy at all. So what could possibly have been laying those mines? Your guess is as good as mine. But before we take a look at the where, I wanted to mention guys that if you want to support the channel even when YouTube seems to be mysteriously less supportive than usual, you can become a member at combatvetnews.com. The nice thing about this site is it's hosted by me and me alone so there's no canceling. And if you get exclusive videos every Tuesday and Thursday as well as Q&A's shout outs and more. So go to combatvetnews.com and become a member. Support me and the team so that we can continue to cover this every day in the unbiased way that we do no matter who it offends. So what I want to point out here is that a lot of these strikes were focused around the Bandar Abbas region, which makes sense, right? This is the choke point, but it's not a choke point where US ships pass through. It's actually a choke point where primarily commercial traffic passes through. But what's interesting is that there are rumors that was a report which was then denied by the navy that actually project freedom. This is a policy of US navy vessels escorting commercial ships through the strait was going to resume. But Senkham has of course denied these. But of course strikes against mine layers and missile sites would be a natural prerequisite to reenabling this kind of effort. Now, is that sufficient? No, because the entire US navy fleet is about 200 odd ships and about 160 ships passed through the strait of hormones alone every day. Now bear in mind a lot of navy vessels or not combat vessels. And so even if you had one navy ship escorting every two tankers somehow, you would still end up in a situation where the entire US navy would need to be constantly deployed. Never have a ship in for maintenance in order to complete this escort mission indefinitely. Now, obviously, the Iranians are saying this is a quote grave violation of the cease fire and that the Iranian forces would act with restraint. Now, think flying that Iran at least is not just choosing not to consider this a ceasefire violation. But what's more interesting is that according to Secretary of State Marco Rubio and negotiations are continuing, saying President Trump wanted to make either quote a good deal or no deal at all. Now, this is complicated by a bunch of factors, namely the Israeli policy in Lebanon where Israel is ramping up attacks and strikes against Lebanese forces. Now, you can see here that as we discussed literally yesterday, the odds of straight-of-formers traffic reopening had spiked almost to 60 percent just a few days ago, which implied that people really believed the President this time when he said a peace deal was close. Now, you can see those odds have been paired down substantially. We just have 40 percent chance that the straight-of-formers opens not by the end of May, but by the end of June. You can see here that puts this back in about the May 11th time frame. So I point this out because somehow inexplicably the market continues to treat President Trump and his statements as though they are deeply credible. In fact, you can see here that Brent Crude is somehow trading at just $99 a barrel. This is unusually low, but it's unusually low for this crisis,
