At some point, Lambert drove Williams to the Beacon Heights apartment complex in South Bend, where Williams lived with his girlfriend, Kourtney Wheaton. When Williams and Lambert arrived at the apartment complex, they got out of Lambert’s car. Lambert called his cousin, Terrance Harris. While Lambert spoke with Harris, Williams asked Lambert to drive him to a liquor store. Lambert told Williams to wait until Lambert’s conversation with Harris was finished.
