Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Exchange Stabilization Fund Transparency Act''. SEC. 2. DEFINITIONS. In this Act: (1) Appropriate committees of congress.--The term ``appropriate committees of Congress'' means-- (A) the Committee on Foreign Relations and the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs of the Senate; and (B) the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on Financial Services of the House of Representatives. (2) Exchange stabilization fund.--The term ``Exchange Stabilization Fund'' means the stabilization fund established under section 5302(a) of title 31, United States Code. (3) Foreign entity.--The term ``foreign entity'' means an entity that is not organized under the laws of the United States or any jurisdiction within the United States. (4) Government of a foreign country.--The term ``government of a foreign country''-- (A) means-- (i) any subdivision, agency, or instrumentality of that government; and (ii) any entity owned or controlled by tha
