In November 2016, she began working as a correctional police officer and investigator. The Indiana Department of Correction (“IDOC”) terminated Burke’s employment on April 10, 2023, because she “failed to appropriately report and document information [she] received, as well as appropriately reporting the use/possession of a cellular device” by an inmate.
