Child has received a significant amount of medical treatment and numerous surgeries in her short lifetime. Child experienced early feeding difficulties. When Child was seven weeks old, a swallowing study was performed. A nasogastric tube (“NG tube”) 3 was placed to provide nutrition to Child. When Child was seven months old, she underwent surgery to place a gastrostomy tube (“G tube”)4, which fed Child directly into her stomach.
