RES. 160 Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection relating to the withdrawal of the rule relating to ``Consumer Financial Protection Circular 2023-01: Unlawful Negative Option Marketing Practices''. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES April 13, 2026 Mrs. Gillibrand introduced the following joint resolution; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs _______________________________________________________________________ JOINT RESOLUTION Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection relating to the withdrawal of the rule relating to ``Consumer Financial Protection Circular 2023-01: Unlawful Negative Option Marketing Practices''. Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That Congress disapproves the rule submitted by the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection relating to the withdrawal of the rule relating to ``Consumer Financial Protection Circular 2023-01: Unlawful Negative Option Marketing Practices (88 Fed. Reg. 5727 (January 30, 2023))'' (90 Fed. Reg. 20086 (May 12, 2025)), and such rule shall have no force or effect. <all>
