R. 8749 To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide coverage of medically necessary home resiliency services under Medicare. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES May 12, 2026 Mr. Frost introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce, and in addition to the Committee on Ways and Means, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned _______________________________________________________________________ A BILL To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide coverage of medically necessary home resiliency services under Medicare. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Survival Aid For Emergencies through Medicare Act'' or the ``SAFE through Medicare Act''. SEC. 2. MEDICARE COVERAGE OF MEDICALLY NECESSARY HOME RESILIENCY SERVICES. (a) Coverage.--Section 1861 of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395x) is amended-- (1) in subsection (s)(2)-- (A) in subparagraph (JJ), by striking ``and'' at the end; (B) in subparagraph (KK), by inserting ``and'' at the end; and (C) by adding at the end the following new subparagraph: ``(LL) in the case of an individual who is medically at- risk in the event of a climate or manmade disaster (as determined by the Secretary in accordance with subsection (ooo)), home resiliency services (as defined in such subsection);''; and (2) by adding at the end the following new subsection: ``(ooo) Home Resiliency Services; Determination of Individuals Medically At-Risk.-- ``(1) Home resiliency services.--The term `home resi
