Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``LNG Export Security Act''. SEC. 2. DEFINITION OF THE TERM ``PUBLIC INTEREST'' UNDER THE NATURAL GAS ACT. Section 2 of the Natural Gas Act (15 U.S.C. 717a) is amended by adding at the end the following: ``(12) `Public interest' means the consideration of-- ``(A) the development of-- ``(i) natural gas facilities in the United States; and ``(ii) the domestic natural gas supply; ``(B) domestic economic interests; and ``(C) national security interests.''. <all>
