Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Prevent Endless Wars Act''. SEC. 2. SUNSET REQUIREMENT FOR AUTHORIZATION FOR USE OF MILITARY TO RECEIVE CONGRESSIONAL PRIORITY PROCEDURES. (a) In General.--Section 6 of the War Powers Resolution (50 U.S.C. 1545) is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: ``(e) Subsections (a) through (d) of this section may not apply with respect to a joint resolution or bill introduced pursuant to section 5(b) which authorizes the use of United States Armed Forces for a period of more than 5 years or an unspecified period of time.''. (b) Applicability.--This Act, and the amendment made by this Act, shall apply with respect to a joint resolution or bill introduced pursuant section 5(b) of the War Powers Resolution (
