During the traffic stop, Elifritz was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. On December 7, 2017, Elifritz was charged with Level 6 felony possession of methamphetamine, Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and Class C misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.
