Jury finds a Wisconsin judge guilty of obstruction for helping an immigrant evade federal agents
[transcript] Just in tonight, a Wisconsin jury has found a judge guilty of helping a Mexican immigrant dodge federal authorities. Federal prosecutors charged Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan with obstruction back in April. According to court documents, Dugan learned that federal agents were outside her courtroom waiting for a 31-year-old man who had re-entered the U.S. illegally. Documents say she falsely told them their warrant was not sufficient and then help the man leave through a private door. Dugan faces up to five years in prison.
