Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Quantum for Health Act''. SEC. 2. PURPOSES. Subparagraph (A) of section 3(5) of the National Quantum Initiative Act (15 U.S.C. 8802(5)) is amended by inserting ``, social benefit,'' after ``innovation''. SEC. 3. NATIONAL QUANTUM INITIATIVE PROGRAM. Paragraph (1) of section 101(b) of the National Quantum Initiative Act (15 U.S.C. 8811(b)) is amended by inserting ``in diverse sectors'' after ``applications''. SEC. 4. NATIONAL QUANTUM COORDINATION OFFICE. Subsection (b) of section 102 of the National Quantum Initiative Act (15 U.S.C. 8812) is amended-- (1) in paragraph (3)-- (A) by striking ``science and technology'' and inserting ``science, engineering, and technology research and workforce''; and (B) by inserting ``, nonprofit research organizations,'' after ``universities''; (2) by amending paragraph (4) to read as follows: ``(4) ensure coordination among the collaborative ventures or consortia established under this Act;''; and (3) in paragraph (7), by inserting ``nonprofit research organizations,'' after ``universities,''.
