State of Indiana ── Case No.: 22A-PC-02213 Court: Indiana Court of Appeals Date: February 14, 2023 Author: Judge Cale Bradford County of Origin: Howard Category: Criminal Decision: Affirmed Judge May and Judge Mathias concur The underlying facts, as originally set forth in Jones’s direct appeal, are as follows: On August 24, 1993, Kokomo police officers Deric Beroshok[1] and David Trine were on surveillance duty in an unmarked car in an area known for high levels of drug activity. There, they saw Jones standing at an intersection. When a beige 1984 Chevy pulled up, Jones walked out to meet it, leaned into its window, and appeared to be exchanging items. This transaction with the same Chevy was repeated two times over approximately twenty minutes.
