In early 2020, Ford had been removed from Martha’s home after he had been found to be a delinquent child for committing an unlawful act on another minor who had been in Martha’s care and had lived in Martha’s home. Ford had then moved in with Devon, and, as of February 16, 2020, had lived with Devon for approximately two and one-half weeks. Around 10:00 a.m. on February 16, 2020, Ford shot Devon multiple times while Devon was lying in his bed.
