(“Mother”) was engaged to Derouin. She and her then-fifteen-month-old daughter, A.E., lived with Derouin in Bicknell. 1 On the evening of September 6, 2019, A.E. was sleeping on an air mattress in the living room. After Derouin had arrived home from work and had finished taking a shower, Mother took a ten- to fifteen-minute shower in the bathroom that was adjacent to the living room where A.E. had been sleeping.
