Tara Setmayer & Abby Phillip UNLEASH on MAGA Pundit’s Racist Comment in Heated D [10:02-15:03]
That makes it harder to achieve success for black districts. Just amazing. I don't even think in this idiot's mind he thinks he said anything racist. It's so embedded to who these people are, conservatives and Republicans. This is just, they think it's like the sky's blue that this is just an innate fact. The black people in Louisiana have poor outcomes than their white counterparts. And a big one is Jim Crow, okay? You can't tell the story without telling that part of the story. And then on top of that, I mean, don't forget that that's a state that is controlled by Republicans. So if Republicans, and at the state level, which has way more to do with people's day-to-day lives, can't improve the lives of black people in their own state, I don't know how you can make the argument that somebody who represents them in Congress. Yeah, but I mean, we're talking about the past each other. But I'm not, I mean, I'm just, I'm just responding to what Hal said, blaming black representation. No, I'm saying the state of black people in a particular human rights health district. And this is just, I don't think there's a relationship. I don't think that you can say that the black representative is responsible for the outcomes in a particular district where those outcomes came about because of decades and decades of all of these at the state level and at the federal level that disenfranchised and hurt black. And that's not what this means. Okay, so that's all I'm saying. Okay, but that's what happened. This is what happens, though, when you will get into a process argument over making it more difficult for people to vote and to have representatives that represent them. If Republicans were so confident in the system, then they would not be trying to game it right now to their advantage. And Donald Trump is telling the quiet part out loud. We could have had an intellectual argument about whether the VRA was still needed or not and whether it's fair or not, but if we were in a colorblind society, but we're not, especially when you have someone like the Trump administration coming in after diversity. What's the difference between the giggling about? Women of color, women, people of color, and all the things that they're doing to say that oh, it's a reverse racism and now they're coming for voting rights. That's what this is absolutely about and we can't ignore the game that we're in right now in the political reality of what they're trying to do. All right, Camille, do you want a quick last word? I was just saying that I don't know that colorblindness is the real standard here. Again, I think if we're looking to create competitive districts, that's the most important thing and vacating the sort of status quo, creating a circumstance wherein the law is not particularly interested in race that actually seems like a very good outcome for me. The only question is how do we get more competitive districts from where we are now? In the long run, if you have good faith actors, that's not what Republicans are. All right, next for us. He knows this, he's making it seem like racism is gone. And notice how quiet Camille with his hands folded are not a peep from his punk ass with what Timu Trump said there about black people in black district or whatever politicians running on black districts. But certainly has some pushback for Tara. Interesting, huh? Republicans will need to put his ass in change for him to realize who he's cozying up with. And even then, he might make a bullseye's argument. And think about guys, how Timu Trump, this little four foot nothing, little fuck talks about black people when he's not on national television. Just imagine how people like Timu Trump and a Scott Jennings talks about people of color behind their back. That's why I say no grace for these people, no more mercy and extending the arm out to conservatives. This is who they are. Time and time again, they prove who the FDR. And now it's time to find out who Bobby is, all right? Guys, I said this for four puppies, a new landlord in town. And the rent is passed, passed due. Again, guys, you see why I despise black and brown conservatives? With a real passion, I mean, it's deep. It's why I go hard on a little shirt, Michael, and Wayne Head. Like, I wish they were on this panel. I would love to see what they would say. They'd sit there just like Camille, with their hands folded, completely quiet. Guys, I mentioned this many times. I know I'm going on a bit of the rent here, but I grew up in an extremely poor neighborhood, made up of just about half and half black, half Hispanics. These communities are immensely under resource. They are truly the forgotten people, as one could imagine. And when you try and society to do something about it, and try to fix some of these inequities, whether they're Republicans going around saying, or synonymously, the biggest in this country running around saying, it's anti-white, it's woke. They don't want neighborhoods, black neighborhoods, dominantly by black people or Hispanics to do better, because in their eyes, not only would it be taking away something from them, but I think they see it's well deserved. We deserve to live this way. We aren't, we aren't at the level of human, they are, we're subhumans. Okay, this is how these people think. They pretend to care about how bad these neighborhoods are, but Republicans and biggest love the way they are. They love to be able to point out and say, you see, what did we try to tell you about those black and brown people? Didn't we tell you?
