LAFAYETTE, IN — The race for Tippecanoe County commissioner for the 1st District might have been the county's most prestigious in Tuesday's primary.
Julie Roush outpaced James Waters to win the spot on the November ballot for the Republicans. Roush received 6,592 votes to Waters' 2,260 votes, according to unofficial results.
Roush, the current county clerk, is the county's election official.
