Fox-Doerr had been married “[t]hree or four times” prior to marrying Robert. Tr. Vol. IV p. 13. At the time, Fox-Doerr’s sister, Amanda (“Mandy”) Fillmore, was engaged to Larry Ali Richmond, Sr. (“Richmond”). Mandy had told Fox-Doerr that Richmond “had a past” and had “been in jail for 20 years for killing a man.” Tr. Vol. IV p. 36.
