SC Supreme Court to decided if congressional district needs to be redrawn

[transcript] course back here in South Carolina, the US Supreme Court will also soon decide whether or not South Carolina's first district, which is down in the Charleston area, needs to be redrawn. The justices will review a lower court ruling that found it coastal district running from Charleston to Hilton Head was intentionally redrawn to reduce the number of democratic leaning black voters in that district and made it likely that a Republican candidate would win. Of course, that seat is held by a Republican Nancy Mace of the low country. The case will probably be argued in the fall and then decided upon before the 2024 elections.
