As her boyfriend attempted to flee, Guevara tackled him and punched him several times in the head. The next day, the State charged Guevara with one count of Class A misdemeanor domestic battery. Guevara pled guilty on July 22, 2024. In exchange for her guilty plea, the State agreed that Guevara should be given the opportunity to participate in drugcourt programming in lieu of incarceration.
