Cyber, AI, and identity: Elevating secure digital banking journeys [39:22-44:34]
you so much that these those were really helpful be there would you like to share your talks around AI and scale yeah I definitely and I think we're showing a slide as well here on the screen that I'm going to come to at the end of my remarks I think first thing I would say about AI an agentech you know to build up Michelle and he should comment it on AI powered agility really marks a shift from automation to autonomous execution you know financial service companies are moving beyond just analytics and co-pilot into agentech AI which you know systems that can actually reason and decide and act independently identity becomes an organizing principle that determines who or what an AI agent is what it can do and how actions can be governed about that agent and having that agility though without identity guardrails really amplifies risks and not resilience and I think Satish touched on that AI agents increasingly are touching core banking functions such as fraud response and payments on writing servicing and the role of identity really is to help bridge trust throughout those interactions with delegated authorization least privileged access policy based access to ensure that these agents can act with authority not as imposters or in personators and that the implication for security is security has to become continuous and rather than being static static rules and periodic reviews they just can't keep pace with real-time AI driven decisioning authentication from identity verification of provenance contextual authorization continuous monitoring anchor every AI action to a verifiable identity which is important compliance is converging with architecture and not just the reporting so regulations such as Dora or the EU AI Act and operational resilience rules that they demand accountability inside systems not after incidents and identity really helps to transform compliance into executable policy it embeds consent auditability and human in the loop controls directly into AI workflows and such a critical control element to the AI story and finally you know AI power agility just it delivers value only when trust scales with it objective AI is becoming a competitive differentiator across fraud prevention and advisory underwriting servicing but identity ensures that every AI driven action is traceable to a principle it's it's bounded in scope and it's governed across its lifecycle so you know together with Deloitte you know ping and Deloitte working together to really define the identity fabric that allows banks to scale AI driven automation without losing that control and you know Deloitte provides regulatory and operating model expertise we provide the systems and solutions and that brings us to the slide on the screen which is identity for AI which we're launching here in Q1 which enables and secures AI agents to act for or on behalf of human identities whether that's in your customer experience so your consumer customer is accessing your banking systems via their own agents or via agents you provide or both as well as AI agent identity for employee productivity so when it's for internal use cases and providing visibility onboarding and management and authentication and authorization really keeping that critical trust loop between the humans and and the agents are excited about that launch absolutely Peter and we are excited as well looking forward to this collaboration there's a follow-up question in Q&A if one of the speakers would like to take this how do we see the future of in-person banking evolving in the age of hyper personalized experiences powered by AI I can start and then Peter and Satish can pile on I we're going to continue to see in-person banking everyone remembers 15 years ago when we said branches are going away and we're never going to see branches again and that's not the case certainly branches and the role of in-person and financial services will evolve and will continue to evolve we could have a whole call on that alone but I think we will continue to see in-person experiences I think maybe Satish and Peter were you guys can add on as I think as identity becomes more complex and and FI verification of identity becomes more complex as people I'm really curious how in-person will have to play a role in identity verification is that gets really hairy Satish do you want to jump in? Yeah sure Michelle just on that you know certainly on that
