I think either buttoned or not button would be an appropriate interior. Now the kit that I bought with the pre-sown fabrics have the buttons, and I'm fine with that. Some cars made in the 26-27 period had buttons, so this is reasonably authentic. The big change in this period is they went from the wrap-around seat back that wrapped around from the back to the side bolsters, and they went to a discreet back and separate side bolsters. So what am I going to do? Well, as you can see from my vinyl kit, I'm going to be doing straight pleats with buttons. It's going to look very much like this one, where the top curves around and has the piping edge down the edge a bit, straight pleats, but I'm going to have the occasional buttons. On the seat back, it's going to be just like this. But my side bolsters will be separate and will not be wrapped around, and they'll just be slightly padded flat vinyl. So when I took everything apart and I took the seat cushion frame, what do we call that? Seat spring cushion frame, seat spring frame, cushion seat frame, I don't know. When I took the seat spring cushion frame out of the car, I noticed some things that were kind of unusual. Now I've got to get all these staples out. The vinyl has just been pulled over and stapled to the wood subframe.
