Forrest Gump (1994) / Glenmorangie Nectar D'or Single Malt Scotch [46:47-51:47]

I don't, I don't imagine that the price is going to shoot up if it's a 16 year all of a sudden. No. I was more worried that we would be accidentally harming our scores on this one. If they were pricing it out for 16 and we were only reviewing the 12 year, you know. Yeah. I don't know. At $82, I think this is overpriced, Brad. But it's also like, you know, we have that principle of $10 for every year that it's aged. And Glenn Moore and she has always always been almost cutting that in half. You know, like we had the Kienzer Rubin 14 year that was selling for $50 something. And now it's up into $70 territory. And we're still like, oh, it's overpriced now. We've been really spoiled by Glenn Moore and she, I guess, is what I'm saying. I think in a vacuum, $82 for this is not a bad value. I just think that I can get better $82 whiskey than this. So I'm going to give it a six, just a six out of 10 on value. Man, yeah, we're far apart here, Bob. I think that this is a really good value. I think that there is enough Scotch out there at a higher price that $82 for a really beautiful expression of Scotch. I'm willing to pay it. I think I'm at an eight and a half here on value. Before we give our final scores, let me ask you this. When was the last time you revisited Kienzer Rubin? Just a few months ago, which is better. I think this is better. Wow. Yeah, see, I still prefer Kienzer Rubin. It's got a little bit more kick to it. I think it's more of a bourbon drinker Scotch, which doesn't inherently make it better. I just like it better. It's a nice change of pace for me. This is really, really good. I just don't quite get as much on it as you do. So I'm coming out to $39 out of $50, which is still a damn good score. I'm almost at the 40 mark. Yeah. We are farther apart than normal Bob. Usually we're somewhat close. I'm at a $45 out of $50. Wow. The $90 out of $100 mark for Brad. Yeah. This is rare to find error. It is. I can probably count on both hands the amount of times either of us have gone at or above $45. Yeah. I mean, I don't know. Have we done 10 whiskeys at or above $45 out of $100? I don't know, man. I don't think we have. It's been close, but yeah. I mean, you're talking about giving a 9 in every single category. That's hard to do. It is. We're coming out on average to a $42 out of $50 or an $84 out of $100. This is like, even hitting $42, we're going to be approaching best whiskey of the season territory here. Yep. Much like the movie. I really like this. But because I am not as effusive in my praise as Brad, he thinks that I don't like it at all. I mean, you know, you're a trash person. So it gets so. This whiskey and film were wasted on me. All right, man, let's get back into talking about forest gump. What do you say? Yeah, let's get to it, man. The world moves fast. You work day, even faster. That was the Glenn Morengi, the nectar, duh, duh, duh, duh. Single malt scotch whiskey. Brad, we're talking about forest gump. But in order to do that, we have to get to our next segment, which we call two facts and a falsehood. Brad is gonna try to stomp you ball to all right. And what is wrong? Two facts and a falsehood. Two facts and a falsehood is the part of the show where Brad presents me with three items as fact about the making of this movie, one of which is a complete lie. Brad, I've done no research yet again today. I feel like I've really liberated myself from doing research this season. Yeah, you're so lazy, Bob. I know. Why would you not do research on the movies for this pop? I learned from the best, man. Brad, hit me with your two facts and a falsehood. Fact number one, when the studio imposed budget cuts on the film, both director Robert Zemeckis and star Tom Hanks waived a large part of their fee in exchange for percentage points, which ultimately netted Hanks in the region of $70 million. Woo! That was almost a Michael Jackson.
