In 2016, the trial court, upon Scudder’s motion, converted the theft conviction from a Class D felony to a Class A misdemeanor. In 2018, Scudder filed a Petition to Modify Sentence to Reduce Conviction to a Misdemeanor, asking the trial court to reduce his conviction for official misconduct from a Class D felony to a Class A misdemeanor. Following a hearing, the trial court denied Scudder’s petition.
