Jared Bednar on Josh Manson's Injury, The DIFFERENCE Landeskog Makes, & More Aft [6:46-8:36]
Because every play is so important. It can be the difference in the hockey game. And you got to make sure your guys are buying into it, and they understand it. And that's part of the leadership's job. And game has a huge part to play with that. But it's not just him, it's all of our guys kind of digging in in those areas. And it's, you know, it's helped us. Like tonight, the day of a strong, strong push to the start of the second period last way too long for me. It's probably the first 12 minutes. And then I thought we kind of settled it down and pushed back. And part of that was our puck management. And we had a great finish to the second period in the good third. And, you know, we get to capitalize a couple of times when the hockey game finishes on the left. Yeah, I do. And every time you get to the playoffs, you hear that phrase. The fourth win is the toughest again. In fact, we just heard it. What are the keys in your opinion to not wanting a team off the mat? To me, it's about number one. There can be no complacency this time of year, right? Like, you have to have the killer instinct. You have to go out and you have to expect to have to play your best game. It's what it is. You know, when you are going to have to be really good tonight to win, that we'd have to probably capitalize on some of our chances a little bit better than we ever gave one and gave two. And it's, I don't know, it's a little bit of everything, but you have to be dialed in as much as you've ever been dialed in if you want to win the game. It's a year playing top competition this time of year. For us specifically with the Kings, you have to be willing to check the right way and you've got to be really good at it because you know they are going to be. And then it's all making a plan at the right time and trying to get yourself a lead and then when I'll give you. Thank you.
