Jared Bednar on Josh Manson's Injury, The DIFFERENCE Landeskog Makes, & More Aft [1:44-6:46]

Big saves when you need him, relaxed, books confident. I think he's been one of our best players in the series. Everything gets magnified this time of the year, especially the goal-tending. I would say I think both goalies have played really well in this series and that's why part of the reason why scores are so low. And you're going to need a big save at some point. Scott made all the ones he needed to make tonight. And I think tonight was probably his biggest task because the first period, you know, they got some good chances of the start of the second, you know, first 10, 12 minutes of the second period. They keep matters hard and we had some breakdowns. I think some of that was on us and we got the red line a few times and turned it over and they kind of kept the momentum in their favor. We had to care the puck a little bit better when we did tonight too. The neutral zone at times during the game. But what we needed in saves he was right there. So he's been impressive. Evan, up to nothing, you still made a change of prime. What kind of went into that swap? And how do you think Ross responded? Yeah, I made the change because it's such a low scoring series. I felt like maybe Ross can help the Nelson line create a little bit more. They've been rocks all defensively through the course of the series. But he's trying to find just a little bit of a spark a little bit more offensive if you can get it. And I thought he did that. I think he helped out line tonight. He had a couple good looks himself. And he checked hard and checked the right way. Our game wasn't mistake free by a long shot. But you got a hungry guy that's been in your lineup all year and that you trust. He's been snakebitten scoring a little bit. But I just felt like he gave him into line up tonight. Every player, there's a chance that he can help you get one. And that can be the difference in the hockey game. So I didn't mind that decision at all. I liked what he did tonight. We're in the left. Gerard Dickings came out flying as expected. Didn't make sure you thought that was going to happen to him. But also the way they hit the first several minutes of the game. How do you assess the physicality and how it's affected this series overall? Yeah, I think first game was probably a little quiet from the physicality standpoint. They came out, I would say they initiated it in the second game. And we answered it was a pretty physical hard fog game. More intense than game one. There could have been a little feeling, no process in game one. It kind of picked up where it left off in game two tonight. Again, I think we pride ourselves on being able to play any kind of style. We have this kind of makeup of our roster. And yeah, I think they've been initiating in that part of it. And we've been answering the bell. It was a physical game again tonight. So I think it just comes with the territory this time of the year. I've been watching some of the other series. And it's been a battle out there. You know, the rest are doing a nice job for the most part. And letting guys play and allowing a little extra of everything and trying not to insert themselves in one way or another when they need to. So it's just kind of part of what makes the game so fun to watch. So enjoy the most time of the year. Jesse, Coach, we talked a lot about the years about your leadership group. And you know, you mentioned when that room starts running itself, that's when you really feel good about your group. Having a game back in there, remind of those other values. In fact, these are the moments where it's really valuable. You know that last win in this series. You made a tough one to get. Yeah. And not just for game four, but it's every game now. I think it said this the other day. You have strong leadership. And it will, you know, show itself occasionally. You know, more frequently, you get into the playoffs. And it's kind of like all hands on deck. You know, it's, you know, you got to be an active participant in the team's success. And that's doing everything you can do, whether that's communication, on the ice, on the bench, in the room. Making sure everyone understands everything that's being shown. It's like a cram session every day. And when you're playing a team in a seven game series, like the things I'm showing our team now, before game three and before game four, I wouldn't even bring them up in a regular season game. You know, it's about your structure and the way you play, your intentions. But it's like, we're in nitpick and you have to.
