LEMON DROP | Rep. Suhas Subramanyam: "Everyone Is Losing Right Now!" [5:39-7:55]
But besides that, everything is great. There's a joke here, but I was just appropriate. Besides that, Mrs. Lincoln, how is it played? But I mean, it's kind of, besides that, everything is great. You're right. You're right about that. What do we do? At this point, look, the President should come to Congress. We should let the American people have a say in this. And if they want to end this war, they need to clean up the messes that they started, like the straighter hormones. I think you need to make sure that there's a plan when it comes to nuclear proliferation. And long-term, I think Iran's going to continue to be a problem. And we didn't solve it with this war. Yeah. What else do you want to talk about today? Anything that's on your mind? I, you know, we're in November. November is, you know, a couple of days ago, we had a referendum in Virginia. The people of Virginia want an even playing and feel it going into November. And so we ended up passing new maps. And this President Trump started this fight in Texas. I was going to say it wasn't just the people of Virginia. It was, you guys kind of have to fight back against what Republicans were doing. That's how this all started. My family lives in Texas, and they didn't get to vote on their redistricting referendum. They were told by this legislature in Texas that these are going to be the new maps. And here in Virginia, we gave people a choice. Same with California, we gave people a choice. And so if we show Republicans that we are not going to back down from a redistricting fight, then maybe we can have non-partisan redistricting across the country and pass federal legislation. Until we teach them that lesson, they're going to keep doing it. So we thought this was an important long term for democracy. Your parents are in Texas? My parents are in Houston, yep. Are they proud of you? I, they wanted me to be a doctor. So I'm the black sheep of the family, but you know what? I think they're okay now. Boy, did you disappoint them? That's right. That's right. Yeah, I switched to philosophy as my major in college. They're still wondering why I did that. Are you going to go to any of the White House correspondents dinner stuff? I'm going to be over there. Yeah, I'm going to be over there. Are you going to go to the dinner? I think so. I've never been before. I'm new here. You're going to go? Trump's going to be there. Is he? Okay. Well, we'll see what he has to say. And maybe I'll leave her. I heard there's a lot of fun after parties. So if you'll go a little early to those. Yeah, I'm not going to the dinner, but I am going to the parties. Okay. Go around. Well, thank you. Thank you. It's because I'm sorry your parents are disappointed in you. Oh, no, that's okay.
