with them, Donald Trump, he's bombed. So let me ask you this, these are not trick questions. So are the Iranians at the negotiations or not? I think the Iranians are trying to wait us out. I think they are stalling and probably divided among themselves. I don't think there is a single Iranian point of view at this moment either. But are they sitting like us or across a table from each other now? Because we don't know. Do you know? I don't know. And logistically, it's hard for them to do it because if they get a room full of people like we're doing right here, that room and the people are exposed to potential disruption. So you got to be careful where you go and who you talk to, and it's not like they can get together whenever they want. I'm glad you said that because he says, oh, they can't communicate and it's like carrier pigeon or whatever. And they're not going to communicate with you electronically because then you can find up their position. And they're not going to communicate with you face to face because then they're in danger. So I think that's a red herring. The other thing, not a trick question, is a straight, open or closed? Closed. The straight is closed. It's closed. Okay. So we know that because he says one thing and then another. I think right now this straight is closed because of our blockade and because of their blockade. But if they and we were willing to lift the blockade, I think that would be a step toward successful negotiation. My other question is, I admire the way you conduct yourself in the Senate because I'm sitting there watching you interviewing Cash Patel, or Pambandee, or Kristinoam, or Tulsi Gabbard, or whoever it is. And your questions are always very direct and how do you deal with that? Because they never want to answer a question and it frustrates me. And I'd be sitting there going, because you guys, your thing is I reclaim my time or whatever. That's what they say in the Congress reclaim my time. But I'm like, you didn't answer the question. My question is you didn't answer the question, but you only have so much time. It seems like you're perfect with that. How did you do that? Well, part of it is, I'm a trial lawyer. Okay. I do cross-examination. And when you do cross-examination, you have an audience. It's a jury. Yeah. My jury is the American people. And what I'm trying to do is not necessarily show people that they're evading the question in my saying it, but that they're answering it in a way that clearly is evading the question or failing to tell the truth. And so, when Christine Ohm, for example, denied something that I have on a poster board, it's hard for her to look good. Yeah. When the intelligence has shown there's no imminent threat, and she says there's, and she can't answer it when what really strikes me about these people is how badly prepared they are. Yeah. Yeah. You know, I've cross-examined mob figures that are better prepared, the going back to when I was a federal prosecutor, we went after the hell's angels. They were sometimes better prepared than some of these witnesses. Wow. What happens with all of the Senator? Is it, I mean, this is all of this ever-go-away because you've got, you know, right now Kashpatel is suing the Wall Street Journal, Donald Trump sued, I think it was the Wall Street Journal as well, and lost arresting reporters, threatening to investigate or at least seeking to investigate the report you heard the last one from the New York Times, like, when does this all stop? Is it, well, you know better than anyone about their drive to intimidate a free press. You know better than anyone how they can try to create fear, but it's like any bully stand up to them. You've stood up to them. We're trying to stand up to them. My Republican colleagues are not standing up to them. They have no backbone or spine. I sometimes wonder, why did they go to all the trouble, all the pain and effort of running for office when they're giving away their integrity and conviction, but standing up to them, I think, is what is turning the country around and will produce a better result in November.
