Rupley (the Estate) was opened in 2018, more than nine years after Francis’s death. Thereafter, Francis’s adult son, Charles Rupley, filed a claim against the Estate claiming equitable ownership of Amazon stock certificates that were in Francis’s name and seeking an order that the Estate sign the stock certificates over to Charles. The trial court dismissed Charles’s claim as time barred under Ind. Code §§ 29-1-7-7(e) and 29-1-14-1(d) because it was filed more than nine months after Francis’s death.
