The Florida school bus driver, Yvonne Hampton, was arrested and fired after driving her bus into the path of an oncoming train in Sumter County. The train clipped the rear of the bus while 29 students and one other adult were on board. The incident occurred on April 2, 2026, at the intersection of E Central Avenue and N Market Street in Bushnell, Florida.
