New Superior Court judge appointed for New Hanover and Pender counties

[transcript] A new judge has been announced to serve new Hanover and Pender counties, and he's no stranger to the courtroom. Governor Roy Cooper appointed Ricardo Jensen to fill the spot as Judicial District 5 Superior Court Judge after the retirement of Phyllis Gorum last month. Jensen is currently an Assistant Public Defender for New Hanover and Pender counties. No date has been announced as to when Jensen will start his role as judge.
