This tree is the 3rd oldest living oak tree in Texas, the last of the famous “Council Oaks”, 14 giant oak trees that were a sacred meeting site for the Comanche, Tonkawa, and other Native American tribes for many hundreds of years. Took a second to just think about all of the incredible history that this tree witnessed over a period longer than Europeans have existed on this continent. @texan #treatyoak
