Facts & Procedural History
In February 2015, Belk was convicted as charged, following a jury trial, of Class
A felony robbery, Class B felony robbery, Class B felony aggravated battery,
and two counts of Class B felony criminal confinement, stemming from a home
invasion. The evidence showed that two men, Kenney and Spann, were at
Spann’s house, which was used as a location to sell marijuana, and another
man, Carter, entered the house while armed.
