Judge Kris Mickey Applies for Seat on Nebraska Court of Appeals

[transcript] Five people have submitted their names for a Court of Appeals Judgeship in Western Nebraska, including one from here in the Panhandle. Scotch with County Judge Chris Mickey has submitted his application for appointment as a Court of Appeals judge in the sixth judicial district that spans 39 counties of Nebraska. He'll join the other applicants, John Rademacher, Melody Bellamy, Michael Piccolo, and Cindy Volmar during a public hearing of the Judicial Nominating Commission March 27th at the Lincoln County Courthouse. The vacancy is due to the retirement of Judge Frankie Moore. Mickey applied to a similar post last March for a Judgeship with a Court of Appeals in the fourth judicial district.
