Henderson County North Carolina Detective Ryan Hendrix’s body was escorted back to Henderson County today. Hendrix was shot and killed in the line of duty on September 10. Deputy Hendrix was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and had served with the Henderson County Sheriff's Office for eight years. He is survived by his two children and fiancée.
