I layer the modern photo over the historic image and use Photoshop’s guide tool to line up the roofline, windows, and edges. Once everything is aligned, I paint in and out history with the brush tool. The courthouse once had a tall clock tower that was badly damaged during the 1935 earthquake and later removed.
